Leveling up a Core Attribute requires experience points equal to the sum of all levels you have in it already. For example, to raise your Strength from 4 to 5, it costs 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10 experience points. For those of you who like math, for leveling up to level n from level n-1, it takes n(n-1)/2 experience points.
